Retekulation "the new word in Land Remediation"
Our aim is to provide the most advanced, rapid, cost-effective contaminated soil remediation process available
Recovery and recycling of contaminated soils
The Environment Agency states that, “The treatment of soil for the purpose of reclamation, restoration or improvement of land is a recovery operation where the treated material serves a useful purpose in replacing other materials, so conserving natural resources.” In the case of soil, this arises when treated soil is used as a substitute for virgin materials. Our process, known as Retekulation, is the UK’s fastest growing method of contaminated land remediation. Using a broad range of well proven and sustainable technologies, this recovery and recycling approach to mixed waste treatment and total soil recovery is the fastest and most cost effective method of remediation available.
Rapid, cost-effective contaminated soil remediation
Retekulation offers a completely new means of contaminated soil treatment with the option of treating soils both on-site and off-site at our licensed facility. We can provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ where initial site investigation, excavation, haulage (to our treatment facility), decontamination and, if necessary, disposal can be taken care of in one place. Our method of Soil Recovery & Recycling can remove the cost traditionally associated with logistics and landfill disposal of contaminated soils. Arletan can cater for all aspects, from start to finish, in a quick, cost effective and efficient manner. There are five general options available to you, outlined below under Soil Decontamination to Suit your Needs.
Reducing the need for costly aggregates in order to replace dig and dump soils means extra savings can be made at most sites. Even if contaminated soil is removed from site for treatment, these can be reinstated for a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. In fact, in all cases where this process has been used in the UK, the treated soil has been approved by local Environment Agency teams for re-use on-site, for instance, either as a paving base for roads and car parking or as structural backfill.
